Stephen is a partner in the Growth Debt Fund focused on origination, assessment, execution, and portfolio management.

Prior to Hambro Perks, Stephen spent seven years in the Growth Finance team at Clydesdale Bank (latterly Virgin Money), focused on lending to high growth, UK scale-up companies. He joined as a Senior Director focused on origination, and subsequently ran the team. Prior to this, Stephen spent three years in leveraged finance providing structured debt to lower mid-market transactions.

Prior to Clydesdale Bank, Stephen was at BDO, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Dublin, before transferring to the London based Corporate Finance team in early 2008.

Stephen is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
